My teaching is strongly influenced by the idea that students are whole individuals including mind, body, and spirit. There must always be mutual respect for individuality and personal goals. I consider the time that I have with a student both a privilege and a gift.
Therefore, I try to make sure that every interaction and encounter is meaningful. I want students to feel safe, knowing that they can make mistakes and learn from them without judgement. I remind them that our paths as musicians are not linear but rather an exciting, curving, twisting path with both peaks and valleys, highs and lows. I encourage them to embrace the journey knowing that learning never stops.
I know that I’ve done my job as a teacher when my students are motivated, committed, passionate, and self-aware. These characteristics will keep them focused on their goals and dedicated to fulfilling their musical dreams even when obstacles arise.”

When you study at JAM, we will discuss your goals, strengths, desired areas of improvement, learning style, scheduling, and finding a JAM teacher that is the perfect match for you.

We offer 30 and 60 minute lessons.

We teach students of all ages. Ages 4 and up.

We offer voice lessons in the genres of classical, contemporary, gospel, pop, jazz, etc.

Piano, music theory and composition, songwriting, and clarinet lessons. This list is ever expanding.

All lessons are virtual and can be taken from wherever you are in the world as long as you have a strong internet connection!
